Chad, we did not know that morning that
God was going to call your name.
In life we love you dearly;
in death we do the same. It broke
our hearts to lose you; you did not go
alone, for part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories;
your love is still our guide.
And though we cannot see you,
you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same;
but when we are called one by one,
The chain will link again....
Loved and missed forever,
Mom, Dad and Sister Gretchen
The Son We Could Not Keep.
Our arms still ache to hold you,
The tears still fall like rain.
Our eye's just long to see you,
And hear you laugh again.
We look normal on the outside,
the hurt is hidden deep.
For the son we love and long for,
For the son we could not keep.
I am not so far from you, Just a little way beyond
Past the cares and past the pain
Far past my earthly bonds, When you feel you miss me most
As years go drifting by, Each memory will prove to you
That our love will never die
For memories are but a touch, From the fathers gentle hand
To heal your pain and mend your hearts
To help you understand
That while I left you far to soon, I did not leave a lone
For the Father sent his Angels
To Gently take me home,
Take comfort when you think of me, Keep my love alive in your heart
And with the warmth of each memory
We will never part

We thank you for this awesome day: for being brought together here this
morning to celebrate the rising of your son and our savior, Jesus. We thank
you, Lord, that you sent Him to earth so we could be forgiven for our Sins
and to allow us to enter into your beautiful and holy kingdom.. We thank
you for all of the beauty you have surrounded us with and all of the love
that you have so greatly given. We know we could never repay you for all you
have done for us. We pray that we may come to know your joy and love
completely and know what it is like to trust you with all of our life. We
thank you for life and the promise of a new life in Christ if we choose it.
Thank you, Lord. Please enter into our hearts completely this Easter day.
In the name of our risen Savior, Amen.

Here is my daughter Lord, I give her to you
Although I would like to walk with her hand in hand along the beach and draw hearts in
the sand, chase waves and sandpipers and watch the sunset, give her a kiss and say no
regrets, my darling, no regrets.
Here is my daughter Lord, I give her to you
Although I would like to talk with her on the phone for hours on end, laughing and
giggling about her certain man, listening to her voice while she sang her latest song,
finding deep meaning in words that to her only belong.
Here is my daughter Lord, I give her to you
Although I would like to cook her favorite meal, plop down on the sofa with tissue and
zeal for a movie we rented and watched heel to heel with our food on our laps ready to
feel …full and contented.
Here is my daughter dear Lord, I give her to you
Although she’s really yours, not mine to give
In my heart precious memories thankfully will live of her beauty and brilliance and talent
And her endless propensity to give.
Here is my daughter Lord.
Amen
You’re so tired of the straight line,
And everywhere you turn
There’s vultures and thieves at your back.
Storm keeps on twisting.
Keep on building the lies that you make up for all that you lack.
It don’t make no difference escaping one last time.
It’s easier to believe in this sweet madness – oh, this glorious sadness –
That brings me to my knees.
In the arms of the angel.
Fly away from here,
From this dark, cold hotel room and the endlessness that you fear.
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie.
You’re in the arms of the angel.
May you find some comfort here.
You’re in the arms of the angel.
May you find some comfort here.

May God have mercy on his soul for he was never baptized
nor did I ever think he stepped foot in a place of worship.
My wish for him that the pain is over and that I'll see him in Heaven soon.
